More on The Mom...

Well, her own Dr. at M.D. Anderson was not so depressing - he told her he was not going to give up and he knew she was not going to give up either. He will be coming up with some kind of plan later in the week. She has informed everyone that she is not going to spend the entire time she has left feeling like shit - she's already gone through chemo once, and knows how much fun it is.

But I'm not sure if she has any idea how much time they're talking about - I don't know if she wants to know, and I'm not sure if I would want to know either.

And yes, I am actually knitting. I am thinking of taking the Mason-Dixon State Fair Challenge for the State Fair of Texas. (I am pretty sure my husband would be shocked to learn there are other things going on at the State Fair of Texas besides the OU-Texas game!) The only category that really appeals to me is the "No-Pattern" one......I bought some yarn at Hill Country Weavers this weekend to start a log cabin blanket. And then I am going to work on a few more bowls and see if I can find some yarn that felts really well and see how well I can make it stand up. The last bowl I made ended up looking more like a vase - which is, uh, what I had intended all along. Right?
